The composer in depth

The box where you type hides half the Inbox. This is the full reference.

The basics

Section titled “The basics”

Enter sends; Shift+Enter adds a line break. The bottom handle adjusts the height (double-click restores it). The counter warns when you exceed WhatsApp’s character limit — and blocks sending until you trim.

The ”/” menu

Type / and two sections appear:

  • System — only in open WhatsApp conversations: actions that send the customer a special message you review before sending. Request number (the official button for sharing their phone) and Transfer to WebChat (a link to continue on your website chat; it shows if your business has web chat active).
  • Templates — your quick replies by code (/pricing, /greeting…). They insert with Enter, with the contacto, agente and empresa variables already filled (the variable names are the same in every language).

Attachments and emojis

Attach file accepts image, PDF, audio and video (one per message; if you change your mind, remove the pending chip before sending). Insert emoji opens the picker with your frequent ones first.

The Assistant in the composer

With AI on you’ll see a ✦ button: Assistant draft (in Copilot mode — it drafts with real data, you review, Insert draft and send) or Suggest reply (basic AI). Nothing goes out without your click.
