Import contacts from a file

If your customer base already lives in a spreadsheet, don’t retype it: import it in one go.

Before you start

You need

• To be the business owner or an admin, on a computer.
• A comma-separated CSV file with headers. The name column is required; phone, email and company are optional (the app recognizes common headers like name, phone, email, company and their Spanish variants). If Excel saves it with semicolons, choose the “CSV UTF-8” format.
• Up to 5 MB and 5,000 rows per file; if you have more, split it into batches.

Steps

1. Open Contacts. In the menu, go to Contacts.

2. Choose “Import” and pick your file. The button is above the list. Upload the CSV and the import runs right away.

3. Review the report. When it finishes you’ll see the summary: how many were created, how many were skipped as duplicates (same phone or email), and how many rows had errors.

Safe to repeat

You can run the same import twice: existing contacts are skipped, never duplicated.

Your customer base is in Contacts, ready to segment, message and quote from the Inbox.
