B2B accounts (companies)
When you sell to a company, you don’t sell to one person: you talk to the decision maker, the technical lead and whoever pays. A B2B account groups all those people, their conversations and their sales under one customer. You open them from Contacts, in the Companies lens.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”Create the account
Section titled “Create the account”New account opens Create account. Fill in the Name, and if you’ll invoice them, their Legal name, Identification type and Legal ID (cédula jurídica). In Email domains you add the company’s domains (for example, whatever comes after the @ in their emails): that way, when someone writes from one of those domains, they’re matched to this account on their own. You can Link an existing person right away.
Add its people and their role
Section titled “Add its people and their role”In the account’s profile, the People tab is the who’s-who. When you link someone you set their Role in account — Decision maker, Technical, Billing or Other — and you can Make primary your main contact. If someone leaves the company, Unlink removes them from the account without deleting their profile.
Give them portal access
Section titled “Give them portal access”Each person can have their own access to the customer portal. On their row you turn on:
- Access — they can enter the portal.
- Quotes — they see the quotes.
- Whole company — they see everything for the account, not just their own.
The rest of the profile
Section titled “The rest of the profile”The Details tab holds their service level, price list and assignment (it all saves on its own as you edit). Conversations gathers the threads from all their people, and AI builds an account summary to get you up to speed before a call.
